The Show...

The Legend Lives On… not only features an outstanding Buddy Holly tribute artiste aka Nick Player, but also an
incredible live band. The band is made up of top class musicians that have performed with a variety of well known
stars, acts and shows and have also performed with various Buddy shows including Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story,
Rock n' Roll Paradise, Rockin' On Heavens Door, Marc Robinson and The Counterfeit Crickets and Bootleg Buddy.

The show has been performing tributes to Buddy now for over 6 years, so the show is extremely polished.
They have backed a number of other well known rock n’ roll Artists over the years and have played to sell out
audiences of thousands of Buddy fans. Wherever they play, they always receive a tremendous response from
the audience.

The show is a spectacular 90 minute tribute to Buddy’s classic and eternal tracks. With hits such as That‘ll be the
Day, Rave On, Peggy Sue and It Doesn’t Matter Anymore as well tracks of his more obscure albums such as Rock
Around with Ollie Vee, Fools Paradise, Blue Days Black Nights and Reminiscing, you are sure to be captivated for
the entire performance.

During the show, the band takes you on a musical journey through the early years of Buddy’s career, introducing
some classic rockabilly numbers as made famous again by Buddy’s first album Holly in the Hills, and finally brings
you up to 1959 with Buddy’s final album recorded just months before the tragic plane crash that claimed his life,
along with those of the Pilot-Roger Peterson, J.P. Richardson-otherwise known as The Big Bopper and the
incredible pelvis thrusting Ritchie Valens.

As Buddy Holly, in three short years managed to record over two-hundred tracks, the band constantly updates
the show to reflect Buddy’s live performances, hence the massive number of songs in the repertoire and
costumes in their wardrobe.

For your wedding, the show can be adapted for the bride and groom to have their first dance to one of Holly’s classic orchestral ballads, like True Love Ways or Raining in my Heart. For corporate events, we can provide a 60 minute swing set after dinner, to get your guests in the mood for the show later in the evening and for a good old fashioned party, The show band can just pump out the hits to get everyone on their feet and having a great time.
